Seminar on Indian Freedom Movement on the eve of 75th independence day celebrations ( juAazadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav ) programme conducted by NSS units of st Ann’s degree and junior colleges on 12th March 2021 at st Ann’s college premises. Miss.Y.ANASUYA DEVI (Lecturer & NSS PO of St. ann’s College) participated in women’s day celebrations as chief guest at Aditya degree college, Gopalapatnam and spoke on “Status of women in India”.

St. Ann’s College witnessed a grand celebration as the new auditorium was inaugurated on 06/03/2021. The occasion was graced by Rev.Sr.Ann Mary (Assistant General Of Society of St. Ann’s Luzern) who acted as the president, Fr. John Prakash (Chancellor of the Diocese of Visakhapatnam) who was the Chief Guest, accompanied by Rev. Sr. Saleena (Vice Provincial of Visakhapatnam Province), Mr. Nagesh (General Manager HR, Visakha refineries), Mr. Kali (PRO HPCL), dignified guests, officials, staff , alumnae and students.

2(A) Girls Battalion NCC Cadets of St. Ann’s College performed street play on the “Importance of Girl Child and Women Education and Welfare” on 19/02/2021 in GVMC Coromandel Grounds. Dr. Sr. Prema Kumari (Principal) Mrs. Lalitha (Vice Principal), Lt. Miss. Sivaranjini (NCC ANO) and many respected NCC Officials were present to encourage the students.

Day 5 : Valedictory Ceremony & Prize distribution for English Week
The Ceremony was graced by Sr. Ann Mary (Asst. General of Society of St. Ann’s Luzern), Sr. Gisela (Correspondent of St. Ann’s College), Dr. Sr. Prema Kumari (Principal of 
St. Ann’s Degree College) & Sr. Janice Maria (Principal of St. Ann’s Intermediate College). The honorable guest inaugurated the first News Feed of the college ‘ The Rap Up’ designed by the staff and students.

Day 4 of the English Week: Student participated in calendar designing and elocution

Day 3 of English Week: As the day was dedicated to William Shakespeare, students performed famous plays such as Romeo and Juliet,The Merchant of Venice,Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Comedy of Errors, The taming of shrew and many more written by this English playwright and versatile artist.

Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee of St. Ann’s College conducted a seminar on topics related to sexual harassment issues on 02/02/2021. Miss Anusuya Devi (Lecturer in Public Administration) spoke on “Girl and Women Trafficking”. Sr. Janice graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Mrs. Roja (Lecturer in English) convener of this committee presided the meeting.

On the eve of Republic Day Celebration at Andhra University,NSS units of St. Ann’s College received 1 University Level,1 district level ans 4 appreciation prizes. Hearty congratulation to the Program Officers and students for their achievement.

72nd Republic Day Celebration held in the college on 26/01/2021. Management, Faculty and students paid their homage to the motherland , our beloved farmers and all the front line professionals who worked tirelessly during the time of pandemic.

On the eve of Human Rights Day, St. Ann’s College organised a seminar on ‘ Human Rights Of Every Individual’. The chief guest and resource person was Sri Narava Prakash Rao.

Awareness seminar conducted on 03/12/2020 in the college campus by Malkapuram Police Station Team. The Guest of Honour and spokesperson was Smt. Sirisha (Assistant Commissioner Of Police) and Sri. Suresh Kumar (Sub Inspector).They made the students aware about the residing crime in the society against young girls and substance abuse. 



On the eve of 71st Consititution Day, St. Ann’s College organised different competition such as Eassy Writing, Slogan Writing and Poster Making to celebrate the spirit of unity. The competition was organised online and offline so that maximum number of students get a chance to express themselves creatively.

Our students Of Arts and Commerce attended a 2 days Workshop on ” Comparing American and Indian Constitution” organised by Bala Vikasa on 6th & 7th November,2020 at Chinawaltair Dhyanasrmam.

Seminar was conducted on the topic ” Imparting Quality Culture in HEI: Role of Assessment & Accreditation” in the college Campus on 07/11/2020. The resource person of the event was Mr. T. David Johnson (Director of Forestep Associates, Vijaywada).

Paying Homage to our motherland on the eve of 74th Independence Day. Considering the present situation the celebration was organised with utmost care and precaution to install and keep up the feeling of patriotism, love and unity among the staff and student far from the college.

Making lockdown as an opportunity to enhance skills and knowledge

Staff of Public Administration and NSS Program Officers of St. Ann’s College Ms. Bhagya Lakshmi Eps and Anasuya Devi participated in 100 webinars, quiz competitions and Faculty development programmes in 100 days during Covid- 19 period and achieved more than 100 certificates.The success was greatly appreciated by the management and staff.

On the eve of International Anti Drugs Day (26/06/2020) our NSS students under the guidance of Miss EPS Bhagya Lakshmi participated in video conference.The youth interacted with Sri Sri. Damodar Gautam Sawang (IPS),DGP,Andhra Pradesh in the presence of Sri. Rajeev Kumar Meena (IPS),DCP,Visakhapatnam. Famous Tv artist and Youth Idols also enlighted the crowd regarding the vulnerable issue.
