  1. Seminar on NEP 2020 by Fr. Dr. M. Sagaya Ray SJ:
Fr. Dr. M. Sagaya Ray SJ led a seminar at St. Ann’s College Auditorium, Andhra Pradesh, drawing 250 attendees. The seminar focused on the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020), emphasizing quality education, affordability, and innovation. Engaging discussions ensued, highlighting the importance of education accessibility and equality.   1. Warrior Expedition:
The Indian Navy’s motivational “Warrior Expedition” took place in the Auditorium of St. Ann’s College, VSP. Led by Harsha Gupta and Sumit Kumar, the event aimed to enlighten students about the Agnipath scheme. Students enthusiastically embraced the opportunity to learn and engage with the informative session, reflecting a keen interest in self-improvement and national service.
  1. Seminar on Quality Maintenance in Educational Institutions and NEP 2020:
St. Ann’s College Auditorium hosted a seminar featuring Professor Karanam Pushpanadam. The focus was on creating a supportive educational environment, integrating instructional design, and utilizing technology. Professor Pushpanadam highlighted effective teaching skills and the role of constructive feedback.   1. Seminar on Blood Donation:
St. Ann’s College, Department of Botany, collaborated with NSS Units to host a seminar on Blood Donation Motivation. Resource persons EPS Bhagya Lakshmi and Dr. Adhiseshu inspired attendees to actively engage in voluntary blood donation. This collaborative effort successfully cultivated a sense of responsibility and community service among students and staff, aligning with the college’s commitment to social causes.
  1. Seminar on Awareness Programme on Four Years Undergraduate Honours:
The College Auditorium hosted an impactful seminar on June 23, 2023, focusing on the Four Years Undergraduate Honors for the single major system. Expert speakers, including Dr. Sr. Prema Kumari and Y. Anasuya Devi, provided insights into the program’s structure and benefits. St. Ann’s College for Women, VSP, organized a two-day seminar on the Evil Effects of Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking on June 26-27, 2023. Resource person EPS Bhagyalakshmi provided valuable insights into the challenges posed by these issues. The seminar facilitated active engagement and discussions, contributing to a heightened awareness of the impact of drug abuse.   1. Seminar on E-commerce and Logistics:
St. Ann’s College Auditorium hosted a seminar on E-commerce and Logistics on July 10, 2023, organized by the Center of Excellence in Maritime and Shipbuilding. Dr. Sarath Kumar led the session, offering valuable insights into the evolving landscape of these industries. The diverse audience engaged in discussions on integrating technology into logistics and e-commerce, making the seminar an insightful platform for understanding contemporary trends.
  1. International Literacy Day Seminar:
On September 8, 2023, St. Ann’s College Seminar Hall, VSP, commemorated International Literacy Day with a seminar themed “Promoting Literacy for a World in Transition: Building the Foundation for Sustainable and Peaceful Societies.” Mr. Harinadh, Associate Professor and HOD of the Department of Social Works, served as the esteemed resource person, emphasizing the critical role of literacy in fostering sustainable and peaceful communities.
  1. Seminar on Research Methodology:
St. Ann’s College for Women, Visakhapatnam, organized a seminar on research methodology and writing research papers on September 30, 2023. Dr. G. Sampath Kumar, a distinguished Scientist from Visakha Enviro Labs, served as the resource person. Held in the college auditorium, the seminar provided valuable insights into research methods and paper writing intricacies. Staff members actively participated, contributing to fostering a research-oriented environment within the college.

 

Conferrence

  1. International Conference on Health Consciousness and Chiropractic Therapy:
St. Ann’s College auditorium in Malkapuram, Visakhapatnam, was the venue for the International Conference held on January 12th and 13th, 2024. Themed “Upcoming Blessings in Health Consciousness and Chiropractic Therapy,” the conference was organized by the Management of St. Ann’s College in coordination with the Department of Biological Sciences and IQAC. The conference featured esteemed speakers and practitioners who delivered insightful presentations and engaging discussions, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and advancing understanding in the fields of health consciousness and chiropractic therapy.

11. Three-Day Workshop on A Women For Tomorrow for Degree 1st Semester Students:**
From July 13 to 15, 2023, a transformative three-day workshop unfolded at the college auditorium, targeting Degree 1st-semester students. Dr. Sr. Prema Kumar, the college principal, inaugurated the workshop, emphasizing its role in preparing students to face challenges and achieve success. The workshop featured sessions on women empowerment, creative thinking, research, and personality development, aiming to nurture well-rounded individuals beyond academic realms. Attendees gained valuable insights and skills to excel in various aspects of life, making the event a comprehensive learning experience.
  1. Workshop on Drone Technology:
On July 14, 2023, the college auditorium hosted a workshop on Drone Technology, led by expert Reshma. Participants were introduced to the basics of drone operation, its applications across industries, and the latest advancements in the field. The interactive session allowed attendees to gain hands-on knowledge and explore potential career opportunities in drone technology. The workshop not only expanded participants’ understanding but also showcased the college’s commitment to fostering technological innovation through informative sessions.
  1. Orientation Workshop on Strategies of Self-Confidence:
St. Ann’s College, VSP, organized a dynamic orientation workshop on September 2, 2023, featuring Salmon P from John Maxwell Leadership (USA). With a focus on building self-confidence, the workshop motivated students to actively engage in various events, fostering a culture of empowerment. Attendees gained valuable insights, enhancing their confidence and empowering them to navigate challenges with resilience.
  1. Workshop on ERP Training for St. Ann’s College Staff:
On September 13, 2023, St. Ann’s College for Women conducted a training session on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for its staff in the college seminar hall. Facilitated by Mr. Thomas, the session aimed to equip staff members with essential knowledge and skills regarding ERP systems. Participants actively engaged in interactive discussions, addressing queries related to ERP implementation and understanding its role in improving organizational efficiency and collaboration.
  1. Mahindra Pride Classroom Workshop:
From September 26 to 30, 2023, St. Ann’s College for Women, VSP, hosted the Mahindra Pride Classroom program, a transformative 5-day initiative facilitated by resource persons Sowmya, Gowtham, Harikimar, and Venugopal. Implemented by the Naandhi Foundation, this Corporate Social Responsibility livelihood initiative by Mahindra and Mahindra Group aimed to empower students with essential skills for their future. Throughout the workshop, students actively participated in interactive sessions covering personal development, professional skills, and career guidance, underscoring the positive impact of industry-academia collaboration.
  1. Language Enrichment Workshop at St. Ann’s College, VSP:
On October 5, 2023, St. Ann’s College, VSP, hosted a Language Enrichment Workshop with Dr. Manjula as the resource person. This engaging workshop focused on enhancing vocabulary, literature, and grammar skills, providing a platform for participants to deepen their understanding of language intricacies and practical applications. The celebration reflected the college’s commitment to holistic education and fostered a dynamic and intellectually stimulating atmosphere within the college community.
  1. ICT Training Program at St. Ann’s College for Women, Visakhapatnam:
A workshop on ICT training was organized at St. Ann’s College for Women, Visakhapatnam, on November 15, 2023. Led by Mr. Sri Harsh from Next Education India Private Limited, the training aimed to enhance the teaching-learning process through effective use of ICT tools, particularly focusing on Teach Next efficiency. Teachers actively participated in hands-on learning sessions, gaining valuable insights into integrating ICT tools into their teaching methodologies to enhance the educational experience for both educators and students.

2022

  • A national conference was conducted on 26.11.22 sat at St. Ann’s college for women, Malkapuram Visakhapatnam by the Department of Life Sciences. The topic is
           “Recent advances in marine biotechnology and Integrated pest management”. Dr.Sr. Prema Kumari principal acted as chairperson. Dr.G. A. Ramadas, Director, ScientistH,           National institute of technology acted as a chief guest and talked on “Recent advances of marine biotechnology. K. Malla Reddy Director in Dr. Sarup’s pest control pvt.                 Ltd, talked on “Pest Management industry scenario in India, past, present and future”. Dr.M. Srinivasa Rao, Sr. Scientist RARS, Marutur talked on “Pest Management in                 structural environment- opportunities and challenges”.
  • Anti sexual harassment committee of St. Ann’s college for women, Visakhapatnam conducted a seminar on 25th Nov 2022 on the eve of international day for the
            elimination of violence against women. Smt.K. Neelima, sub inspector of Disha police station acted as chief guest and inspired the students. Dr.Sr. Prema Kumari was
            the chairperson. Students and staff participated actively.
  • A seminar was organised by career counselling for all the UG students on 14th November 2022 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. to guide the students were counselled in
             topics such as choosing MBA, campus vs corporate to secure their future by Mr. V. S.Pradeep, admission cell, Visakhapatnam and Mrs. Sowjanya, Marketing Head. Dr. Sr.
             Prema Kumari, Mrs. A. Shanti Rani, Mrs. A. Adi Lakshmi, Miss Rebikha and A.Divya Jyothi has participated in this programme.
  • A hands-on training workshop was conducted at St. Ann’s college for women by Department of microbiology on the occasion of children’s day for two days i.e., 10th
            &11th Nov 2002. On these 150 students from different schools were trained by Department of botany, zoology, microbiology, chemistry & biochemistry. Active
            participants were appreciated by the certificate and medals. This training created awareness of science and its scope in the school children.
  • A national webinar on space age trends in language learning by Dr. C. Raghavendra on 9th October 2022 was conducted via zoom from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Principal, Dr. Sr.              Prema Kumari addressed the audience on the significant of the event. Dr. Raghavendra spoke about the latest trends that can be followed to develop then language. He              also played some videos that can be viewed by learners and explained about the evolution of the language. 50 participants attended the webinar.
  • On 7.9.2022, Thursday St. Ann’s college for women, Malkapuram, Visakhapatnam, Department of life sciences conducted a state seminar on the topic Recent advances in
            aquatic ecosystems. Dr.Sr.Prema Kumari was the chairperson and Dr. K. Ramesh Babu, Associate professor, MLR Department, Andhra University acted as chief guest.
            Dr.U. Sreedhar, scientist incharge, principal scientist ICART-CIFT acted as guest of honour.
  • A seminar on internships was conducted on 1st Sep 2002 in the campus of St. Ann’s college for women under the chairmanship of Dr. Sr. Prema Kumari, principal.

  • A workshop was conducted on 29th July 2022 in the premises of St. Ann’s college. The staff were enlightened by the chief resource person Prof. B. L. Handoo in this event.           The resource person has spoken about qualities of good teacher, different methods of teaching- barring practises, psychology of the students etc., were
        discussed.
  • Teaching staff of St.Ann’s College for Women attended workshop on ” Building the competencies of teachers in blended teaching and learning environment: A step by step practical approach” conducted by M.V.R Degree College on 25/04/2022. Prof. K. Srinivas (Head, ICT & Project Management Unit NIEPA, New Delhi) was the chief spokesperson and guest.

  • Department of English conducted 2 days Workshop from 10/12/2021-11/12/2021 on “Enhancing Skills for Content Writing”. Mr. V.V Gurucharan (Asst. Professor in English, BITS-Visakhapatnam) was the guest and chief speaker.
  • Department of Commerce organised seminar on topics introducing accountancy, entrepreneurship,  principals of management and Business Organisation on 23rd November,2021. Staff and students showed their active participation.
  • Staff of St. Ann’s College for Women attended Webinar on NEP – Southern Region conducted by NAAC on 11/11/2021. Mrs. Manasa Nagabhushanam was the spokesperson.
  • Seminar on ” Service activities and development ” conducted by NSS Units of st Ann’s College on 8th November 2021 at st. Ann’s College premises. Dr. S. Haranath Au , Programme Co- ordinator, NSS, Andhra University graced the occasion as chief guest. Sister Gisela, correspondent of the college presided over the meeting. Bhagya Lakshmi Eps , Anasuya Devi , Anjali Devi , Sandhya and Nadiya, NSS Programme officers and NSS volunteers conducted the meeting. Sister Prema and Sister Janice, principals of st Ann’s Degree and Junior colleges appreciated all organizers and participants of the programme. 
  • 4 days Workshop conducted in the premises St. Ann’s College by the Department of Microbiology from 4th- 7th October, 2021.
  • An International webinar on the topic ” Krishna Deva Raya of Vijayanagara– India’s first global leader” was conducted on 3rd August, 2021 by the History Department of St. Ann’s College For Women.  Dr.G. Srinivas Reddy (A Scholar, Translator & Musician.Brown University, Providence USA & IIT Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad) acted as the Resource Person.
  • National mathematics webinar on ” Multiple Integers” was conducted on 26th July, 2021 by the Department of Mathematics.
  • The Department of Zoology has organized a Webinar on “ Nutrition, Immunity & Covid -19 “. The Webinar was conducted by Resource Person Dr. Hephzibah Rani Singh[ Senior Assistant Professor & HOD of Biotechnology] , Gayatri Vidya Parishad College for Degree and PG Courses (A).
  • A online webinar was conducted on 24-7-2021 by the department of botany. This webinar was conducted from the premises of St.Ann’s college for women, Malkapuram, Visakhapatnam. The resource person was Dr.C.V Raju, professor, maharaja autonomous college, Vizayanagram. The coordinator was Dr.AdiseshuGidugu, assistant professor, St.Ann’s college for women, Malkapuram, Visakhapatnam.
  • An online webinar was conducted on 23-7-2021 by the department of chemistry on topic Analytical Methods in chemistryby a resource person Dr.V.Tejaswararao, assistant professor, Andhra University. He spoke that basics of titration, acid base solutions, standard solutions, states of matter etc.
  • A online webinar was conducted on 20-7-2021 by the department of economics on topic Trends in national factsby a resource person Srilaxmanababu, assistant professor of Dr Bullaya college.
  • Webinar organized by the department of History on 18th day of July 2021 with an eminent personality B.ANITHA, Assistant Professor as a resource person on Characteristics of Tourist Places.
  • Seminar organized by the department of History on 15th April 2021 with an eminent Personality Professor Dr.M.Trinadh, as resource person .The topic was “Buddhist Monuments in India in Memory of Indian History”.
  • Webinar was conducted on from May 31st-June 21 by Gitam University under U.G.C Paramarsh scheme. Prof T.\V Suresh Kumar, Director, IQAC, Gitam University, Visakhapatnam acted as a resource person Dr. Shaikh Lakshman was the coordinator IQAC, Gitam conducted the webinar. Prof Suresh Kumar explained about the assessment process and the different criteria in a detailed manner.  
  • A webinar was conducted by Gitam University under UGC paramarsh scheme on 20th April 2021, Prof TV Suresh Kumar ,Director , IQAC Gitam University,Vishakapatanam acted as a resource person. Dr. Shaikh Lakshman acted as coordinator IQAC, Gitam. Prof Suresh kumar gave introduction to the procedure to go for NAAC Accreditation program. Different criteria, QLM, QNM, data templates etc details were discussed in a detail manner.
  • A seminar was conducted on ” Dr.Babu Jag Jeevan Ram “and Development of Dalits on April 4th 2021 in the premises of ST ANN’S COLLEGE, Visakhapatnam by NSS units and Department of public administration, Department of ST ANN’S COLLEGE, Visakhapatnam on the eve of Dr.Jag Jeevan Ram’s birthday on 3rd April 2021. Dr.B.Padma, lecturer,G.D.0 , Chodavaram acted as a chief guest E.P.S Bhagya Lakshmi and Y.Anasuya Devi participated in the programme.
  • A seminar on water conservation was conducted by NSS units of ST ANN’SCOLLEGE, Visakhapatnam was conducted on 22nd and 23rd March 2021.
  • Seminar on Indian Freedom Movement was conducted in the premises big St. Ann’s College, Visakhapatnam on March 11th 2021.This seminar was conducted by NSS unit on the eve of 75th Independence day celebrations(Azadika Amrutha Mahothra).

  • An awareness seminar was conducted on 03-12-2020 in the premises of ST ANN’S COLLEGE, Vishakapatanam. It was conducted by the team of Malkapuram Police station. In this the guest of honour and chief guest if Mrs Sunitha (Asst police commissioner of police) Another speaker Mr Suresh(Sub inspector of police)Mrs Sunitha enlighten the students with the knowledge of present day crimes in the society.
  • An awareness programme was conducted in the premises of ST ANN’S COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, MalkapuramVishakapatanam on the eve of Human Rights Day on 10-12-2020. Sri Barava Prakash Rao acted as a chief guest.
  • Department of Public Administration conducted a seminar  on “Ideals of Indian Constitution” on November 28th 2020.
  • An awareness seminar was conducted in the premises of ST ANN’S COLLEGE on24-11-2020. It was conducted by the team of Malkapuram Police station. The topic was “The youth of today is the citizen of tomorrow”. Mr.Durga Prasad C.I of Malkapuram, Police station acted as a chief guest. Mrs. Maha Lakshmi S.I also speaker shared her views on the topic.
  • A seminar on National integration andcommunal harmony was conducted by NSS units of ST ANN’S COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, Malkapuram,Vishakapatanam. 11th Nov 2020. Sr Janice, principal was the chief guest.
  • A seminar was conducted on Imparting quality culture of H.E.I”Role of Assessment and Accreditation” was conducted by ST ANN’S COLLEGE FOR WOMEN MalkapuramVishakapatanam on 7-11-2020 Sri T.DavidJohnson director of Foresteps association and academic consultant acted as a resource person.
  • A state level workshop was conducted on 6th and 7th Nov 2020. The workshop was conducted by Bala Vikas Foundation Telangana. The topic is comparing Indian and American Constitutions and the traditions of Constitutional democracy. It was conducted at ChinnaWaltair, Vsp. 16 students actively participated in that seminar.
  • A webinar on legal issues was conducted by NSS units of St. Ann’s college, Visakhapatnam on 28-10-2020.It was conducted by NSS units of St. Ann’s college, consumer protection council and district legal services authority. Sr.Janice , principal of St. Ann’s junior college presided over the webinar. Sri.K.V.Bulli Krishna civil
    panel lawyer acted as a resource person.
  • Online webinar is conducted on E-Governance on July 16th 2020.1t was conducted by the department of public administration. On 16th July Ms Bhagya Lakshmi and Y.Anasuya Devi conducted that seminar. Many students participated in that webinar.
  • Seminar on “Introduction to Google Classroom and Zoom for Online Classes ” was conducted on 26thApril,2020. Mr. Sai Raveendra Kandregula(Student, Indian Institute of Technology, Bhilai) was the resource person.
  • A webinar on “Online classes during void-19 pandemic “was conducted by ST ANN’S COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, Vishakapatanam. It was conducted on 30th June 2020. Dr Sr Prema Kumari acts as chief Resource person. Mrs Roja conducted the webinar.
  • A seminar on “Public private partnership “was conducted on 26-2-2020. It was conducted by department of Public administration of ST ANN’S COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, Malkapuram, Visakhapatnam.The resource person is E.P. Bhagya Lakshmi and Anasuya Devi, 2nd year B.A students actively participated in the seminar.
  • Seminar on Adolescent Problem conducted in the college on 25/02/2020. Sr. Gisela acted as the spokesperson.
  • A 2 days seminar was conducted on17-2-2020 &18-2-2020 in the premises of ST ANN’S COLLEGE, Malkapuram,Vishakapatanam. It was conducted by the management of the ST ANN’S COLLEGE. Sr Dr Prema Kumari Principal of the college presided over the meeting. Sri Arji Prakash was the chief resource person.
  • Seminar was held on 8-02-2020 in the premises of ST ANN’S COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, Malkapuram, Visakhapatnam. It was conducted by the management of ST ANN’S COLLEGE, Vishakhapatnam. The topic is ‘Self-employment opportunities” . Mr Srinu acted as a resource person.

    Nurturing the power and potentials of every person at Aim high to be ambitious; If you want to be successful, you have to aim high. It was a beautiful and we the faculty of St.Ann’s college awaited for this day to attend this wonderful life promoting session on “Aim High” by Dr.Ratnakar, a well-known personality.
  • Seminar on “Genetically modified crops” by Dr.Prasad on 13/11/2019. Dr.Prasad explained well with different slides and model crops, how there are different techniques and applications in growing GM crops.
  • Seminar on “Ethics and Human values in literature” by Dr.Padmaja on 02/11/2019.
  • National Seminar on 04/09/2019, conducted by Mr.Khublakar on “ Values on professional life”.
  • A seminar was conducted on July 1st july 2019 in the premises of ST ANN’S COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, Malkapuram Visakhapatnam. It was conducted by NSS units.”The topic is personality development” Swatch Bharat Programme was also conducted. Madhu Raja was the chief guest and Sr Prema Kumari, Principal inaugurated the programme.
  • A seminar was conducted on 24-06-2019 in the premises of ST ANN’S COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, MalkapuramVishakapatanam. The topic is “Girl trafficking and protection of girl children”. It was conducted by the ST Ann’s College, Vishakapatanam. The chief resource person was Sri Abdhul Raguef .
  • A seminar on Women and Child trafficking was conducted in the premises of ST ANN’S COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, Malkapuram Vishakapatanam. It was conducted on 19 June 2019. Cane foundation, Dharani voluntary organisation and NSS units of ST ANN’S COLLEGE conducted the seminar. P.Santhosh president of Cane foundation society was the chief guest. Hari Venkat Narasimham also participated.
  • “Orientation to NAAC” was conducted on 09/04/2019 at St.Theresa College, Eluru for our faculty with few more colleges who are under this ‘PARAMARSH-2019, also who are trying to get through “NAAC”.

  • A seminar on “Importance of elections of a good person through vote” on 3/11/2018 at St.Ann’s college by EPS BAGHYA LAKSHMI.
  • A seminar was conducted on 8-9-2018 in the premises of ST ANN’S COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, Malkapuram, Vishakapatanam. The topic is “Role of fashion technology in today’s society”. It was conducted by Smt. Sudha Magarette.
  • Girl Advocacy –eve teasing and enemies against woman. A seminar was conducted in the premises of ST ANN’S COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, Visakhapatnam. It was conducted on 11-08- 2018.1t was conducted by the police department of Malkapuram Police station. Sr Prema principal presided the function. Police constable and she team member E.Lavanya acts as a resource person.
  • Seminar on importance of English was conducted by the Department of English on 12th July, 2018.Sr.Gesila (Correspondent of our own college) was the resource person of the event.
  • A seminar was conducted in the premises of ST ANN’S COLLEGE,Vishakapatanam on 13-7-2018.The topic is “Development and Welfare Of Our Country”. It was conducted by the staff of ST ANN’S COLLEGE. The chief resource person is Dr.Sankara Rao a social activist of Anubhandhasm Charitable trust.
